Dane Martin was born in 1987. He graduated from the Center for Cartoon Studies in 2008. After a brief livingtime in Chicago, IL, he lives in semi-rural Michigan behind a gas station, a water tower, and a storage unit. Things are questionable at the moment, but he will always have his cartoon landscapes and eyes of disapproving bird ladies who want nothing more than to live freely and un-judged in a pleasant and just world that does not feel claustrophobic or infinitely threatening. Dane’s comics have appeared in Desert Island’s Smoke Signal newspaper, Suspect Device, Sonatina Comics, Vacuum Horror, Kids, Lumpen Times, the Gaze Books website, Action Yes, Forbidden Shipwreck, Sundays, the Comics Journal, and more.
